Reactivation of Voice of Restoration Missionary Trips

After a series of meetings with Rev. William NC Garcia, Rev. James C Garcia, Brother Joseph C. Garcia, and Rev. Bernabé NC García, and upon consultation with Apostle Missionary Pastor Rev. Bernabé G. García, the consensus was reached that the bride of Jesus Christ would be best served if the Voice of Restoration reactivated the missionary trip portion of its ministry.

While it was the President’s desire that the focus of The Voice of Restoration remain the transcription and production of the messages brought by Rev. Bernabé G. García, Brother William and Joseph along with Brother James Garcia felt very strongly that a united front was best served by working under the banner of Voice of Restoration in the missionary field.

There will continue to be a marked distinction between those men sent specifically from Voice of Restoration and those that are merely sympathizers of the the Voice of Restoration. Anyone travelling on official business of the Voice of Restoration will be named specifically on this website under our “Current Trip” and our “Upcoming Trip” section.

Voice of Restoration continues to work in conjunction with other ministries, including but not limited to City of Refuge Ministries, Circuit Rider Ministry, La Sangre de Cristo, and World Wide Missionary Outreach. However, those ministries do not represent Voice of Restoration in an official capacity except as when noted from this website.

In the future ALL official Voice of Restoration events will be announced from this website. Please note that not ALL of the activities posted by Phoenix Tabernacle are Voice of Restoration events. However, our ministries are closely entwined with the ministries of all who follow the message of the hour. We support each and every church’s rights and desires to have events. It is just physically impossible for us to be at every event.

We will continue to announce and to attend non-official Voice of Restoration events as it is our continual desire to fellowship with all of our brothers. An official Voice of Restoration event is one in which the the leadership of Voice of Restoration designs, implements and carries out the programmed activities.

We covet the prayers of each and everyone of you that love the ministry of Rev. Bernabé G. García as we do our utmost to carry on the missionary work he started while remaining faithful to his vision for the future.

In his service,
Rev. Bernabé NC García for and with Rev. Bernabé G. García, Sr.

Colombia update

Sunday, January 30, 2011—continuation—
After service Sunday morning several brothers approached me with tears in their eyes. They could barely contain themselves as they began to tell me how God had spoken directly to their hearts as if He knew their innermost fears, complexes and struggles.
They spoke of the freedom they experienced as they began to realize that it is not about them, their abilities, their capabilities, their deficiencies, nor their mistakes. It is all about God, and His desire to express Himself through their lives.
Brother Juan Gabriel, who lives behind the church, invited us to eat at a restaurant, and we had great fellowship their.
After eating, we were taking to a shopping center and Sister Lily bought Tres a shirt and a pair of socks. She wanted to buy me something also, but alas, Colombia does not know what a 5x shirt is—ha ha. We then retired to Sister Lily's house, a wonderfully hospitable sister who prepared a banquet for us.
After a time Tres got out the guitar, I took out the tambourine, and we began to sing praises to our God. It was awesome as Tres taught them Hallelujah (My God Has Delivered Me) and the African song Shamgar Chitsinde taught him Hakuna Wa-kai-ta Ta Jezu (not sure of spelling?). During the song, all of the electricity went out, as if God wanted the neighborhood to be able to hear of His Glory without the distracting sounds of television or radio.
After travelling the hour from B/Bermeja back to Torres de Sabana we went to sleep. It was about 2:20 A.M.

Today we had fellowship at the river. The church from B/Bermeja rented a bus to come down and be with us. I had the chance to fellowship with Brother Samir (our designated driver) while wading in the river. His testimony is posted on our testimony blogsite. He gave me more details of the testimony.
We left the river around 4:30 P.M. to go home, rest a little, shower, and get ready for service that evening.
Church service was in a very nice hotel. So nice I was actually surprised. For such a small city, I would not have expected such a high class hotel. I asked at the front desk, and was amazed at how reasonable the room rate was-- only 62,000 Colombian Pesos for a single, and 72,000 for a double.
The hall Brother Dadier rented was on the second floor (no elevator) but I had no trouble going up the stairs. As I walked into the building, the first thought that came to me was, “What am I doing here?” “What are we doing here?”
Not here at the hotel, but here on earth. What was the purpose of life. It had been a long time since I had asked myself that question. I guess there was a hunger in someone to understand that, so I changed my message (yeah right—everyone knows I never know what I am going to preach until I reach the church) and decided to speak on Our Purpose laying a foundation for it by using Psalms 42:1-2, 7 with the thought of the mysterious thirst that pervades our every living moment until we finally (after exhausting all other possible solutions) discover the only thing that can satisfy that thirst is the ever-living water from the fountain of life.
When I started speaking, there were a few people (visitors—I could tell from their dress, hair, and attitude) that were very indifferent and curious. By the time I was wrapping up the message every eye was riveted on me, and I knew that God was speaking to their heart, opening up their lives and laying it bare before them.
After service two ladies approached me and said that they felt that God had sent me to Colombia just for them. That everything I had said had been a revelation about their lives, and that they knew that God cared enough for them to unveil their thoughts to them. People were very happy.
Tres took the service after me, and as always was amazing. The more I hear him praise the Lord, the more I want to be like him. The people were blessed, and participated in the worship. In attendance were about 50 people.
We then went to eat at a restaurant and after eating walked home where Tres was asked if he could sing some songs so that we could continue the worship at home. There is a lot of joy in the air...
