Urgent Request for Prayer for Rev. Bernabé G. García
November 2, 2012
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus.
Today was a very tough day for the Garcia family. Our father Rev. Bernabe G. Garcia was hospitalized on Monday, diagnosed with pneumonia and some mystery ailment that was causing his respiratory system some problems.
In the days following, the reports from the doctors seemed to indicate that satisfactory recovery was taken place. The mystery ailment was found to be an infection in the UT that was affecting the respiratory system and antibiotic treatments were working.
Blood tests revealed the presence of E-coli, treatment was successful, and subsequent blood cultures indicated that the e-coli was no longer multiplying and was under control. Blood pressure had dropped significantly from very high (200+ / 160+) to moderate levels (99 / 68). We had every reason to remain up-beat and to keep the matter privately within the family.
Today, we were informed that while everything had responded well to treatment, Rev. Garcia's lungs had not. In fact short of a miracle the Garcia family will be facing very harsh and final decisions by this Monday.
We are asking that all who love Rev. Bernabe G. Garcia to earnestly seek the face of God in fasting and prayer on behalf of our beloved father, pastor, and apostle. We need for God to completely heal, restore, or create a healthy set of lungs for our beloved Brother Bernie G. Garcia.
It is said that in the times of great darkness, we find out who our true friends are. This is our time of darkness. And we need your prayers. God is no respecter of persons, but He is obligated to His Word. The earnest prayer of a righteous man availeth much, and there are some sicknesses that are removed only by prayer and fasting.
This is a crisis time, and requires warrior mentality. Let us unite in Christian brotherhood and seek God's intervention for the health of Brother Garcia.
Above all things, we desire God's perfect will. If it is the time of God, then we are at peace. However, may God grant the healing for His Glory's sake and take His servant home healthy. Or if it be His will to hear our prayers, may He leave our father with us for many years to come.
The Garcia family thanks you for your prayers. We love each one of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
